SAVOIR-FAIRE

Georges-Makaroun_Savoir_Faire

Being profoundly influenced by his fashion studies in Paris and mentored by fashion masters in Florence, Georges Makaroun highlights women’s silhouette with an architectural vision and designs his handmade collections with nothing but the finest materials.

Through his very personal approach to the corset, he brings together traditional haute couture with an unapologetic modernity.

This piece of tailor-made lingerie becomes invisible, lightly structuring the silhouette like a second skin that closely fits even the slightest contours of the bust. Lace, silk, taffeta and delicately crafted embroidery float as light as air over the top of this soft-wired silk corset.

The Georges Makaroun collections are drawn in the Designer’s studio in Paris and then made in the House’s ateliers in Beirut.

Pattern makers, embroiderers and seamstresses create each dress in the pure tradition of artisanal haute couture. Each dress requires between two hundred and three hundred hours of meticulous work.

For Georges Makaroun, fashion is much more than a question of precious fabrics and cuts:

“Fashion is a dream –

and if we don’t dream, we don’t live!’’
